滋賀大学と連携協定

7月25日滋賀大学と福井県立若狭高等学校との連携協定を結びました。

日本初のデータサイエンス学部を開設し、データサイエンス教育の専門的知見と実績を有する滋賀大学と若狭高校が協力して今後必要とされるデータサイエンス教育のためのカリキュラム開発を行います。

滋賀大学は学長の竹村彰通先生を始め、副学長で高大接続・入試センター長の太田善之先生、データサイエンス学部学部長の椎名洋先生、本校の運営指導委員となっていただいたデータサイエンス学部松井秀俊先生が出席され、本校側は北村徹校長を始め、福井県教育委員会の中森一郎学校教育監が出席しました。

 

若狭高校は今後必要となるビッグデータを収集・整理・分析する統計的手法やそれによる課題発見・課題解決力を身に着けるためのデータサイエンス教育を滋賀大学と推進し、今後学校設定科目「探究」や「情報」「数学」を含めたカリキュラム開発を通して理数人材育成に取り組んでいきます。

Signed a collaboration agreement with Shiga University

On July 25, Shiga University and Fukui Prefectural Wakasa High School signed a collaboration agreement.

Shiga University, which established Japan’s first Faculty of Data Science and has expertise and experience in data science education, and Wakasa High School will work together to develop a curriculum for the data science education needed in the future.

Shiga University was represented by Dr. Akimichi Takemura, President of Shiga University, Dr. Yoshiyuki Ota, Vice President and Director of the Center for High University Collaboration and Admissions, Dr. Hiroshi Shiina, Dean of the School of Data Science, and Dr. Hidetoshi Matsui of the School of Data Science, who served as an administrative guidance committee member of our school. Mr. Toru Kitamura, Principal, and Mr. Ichiro Nakamori, School Education Supervisor, Fukui Prefectural Board of Education, attended.

Wakasa High School will promote data science education with Shiga University in order to acquire statistical methods for collecting, organizing, and analyzing big data, which will be necessary in the future, as well as the ability to discover and solve problems through these methods. We will continue to develop human resources in science and mathematics through curriculum development that includes the school subjects “Exploration” and “Information” and “Mathematics.
