台湾海洋大学と連携協定
台湾海洋大学と連携協定
11月17日、海洋教育の先進国である台湾の国立台湾海洋大学・台湾海洋教育センターと連携協定を結びました。
国立台湾海洋大学は台湾・基隆市にある国立大学で、学生は約9,000人、海外からの留学生が約500人在籍する国際的な海洋高等教育機関の一つです。
すでに本校と連携協定を結んでいる台湾の暖暖高級中学校と台湾海洋大学がマイクロプラスチック等の研究で繋がりがあることから、本校と台湾海洋大との連携協定が実現しました。

締結式では、北村校長が「小浜の海は台湾にもつながっています。海の環境問題に立ち向かうには全世界で協力する必要があります。」と述べ、張所長は「海を守ることが出発点であり、海を持続させることが最も重要な目標です。海洋教育の明るい未来に立ち会えることを楽しみにしています。」として、今後の共同研究への期待を述べられました。今後は海洋教育に関する共同研究や、教員研修を行っていく予定です。

Cooperation Agreement Signed with Taiwan Marine Education Center
On November 17, JETRO signed a collaboration agreement with National Taiwan Ocean University and Taiwan Marine Education Center in Taiwan, a leading country in marine education.
National Taiwan Ocean University is a national university located in Keelung, Taiwan, and is one of the leading international marine higher education institutions with approximately 9,000 students and 500 international students from overseas.
The collaboration agreement between our school and National Taiwan Ocean University was realized because of the connection between Taiwan’s Warm Warm Senior High School, which already has a collaboration agreement with our school, and National Taiwan University of Marine Science and Technology through research on microplastics and other topics.
At the signing ceremony, Principal Kitamura said, “Obama’s ocean is also connected to Taiwan. To confront the environmental problems of the oceans, we need to cooperate with the whole world.” Director Chang added, “The starting point is to protect the ocean, and the most important goal is to sustain the ocean. I look forward to witnessing the bright future of marine education. He also expressed his expectations for future joint research. We plan to conduct joint research on marine education and teacher training in the future.
